Dr Lee Chapman
Global Head of Discovery Science & Intellectual Property
Lee oversees discovery science programmes and intellectual property strategy. He studied Physiological Sciences as an undergraduate and completed a DPhil in Reproductive Endocrinology, both at the University of Oxford. Lee joined a leading private practice firm of Patent Attorneys in 2002 where he qualified as a European Patent Attorney (EPA) and a Chartered Patent Attorney (CPA) becoming a Partner in 2011. He has over 10 years' experience in managing the intellectual property strategy of companies of all sizes, including advising on filing strategy, patent drafting, patent prosecution, due diligence and freedom to operate. He also has considerable experience in working closely with the inventors of small to medium sized companies to identify innovative discoveries and designing experiments for further innovation.
